I have the honour to inform you that a bill (copies enclosed), intituled "An Ordinance to apply a sum not exceeding Twenty-three million eight hundred and forty thousand four hundred and sixteen Dollars to the Public Service of the year 1936" was introduced in the Legislative Council and read a first time on 12th September.

2. Copies of the draft Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure for 1936, of an Abstract showing the difference between the Estimates of Expenditure for 1935 and the Estimates of Expenditure for 1936, of memoranda by the Colonial Treasurer and the Director of Public Works, and of the speech by the Colonial Secretary are enclosed.

3. It is proposed to take the remaining stages of the bill on 3rd October and I shall address you further thereafter.
